The Federal Government of Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reached an agreement to resume the issuance of visas to Nigerian passport holders wishing to travel to the UAE.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced this development during a press briefing at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday. The agreement is effective immediately.
Idris stated, “Nigeria has been in discussions with the United Arab Emirates regarding visa issuance for Nigerian passport holders.
Today, an agreement has been reached, and as of July 15th, Nigerian passport holders can now obtain visas to travel to the UAE.”
He added that further details would be provided in an official statement later in the day.
“But I can tell you that the agreement has been reached, and effective from today, Nigerian passport holders intending to travel to the UAE are able to do so,” Idris concluded.
