Global Leaders Honor Biden’s Decision to Withdraw from 2024 Election

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed respect for President Joe Biden’s decision to step out of the presidential race, calling his career “remarkable.”

Starmer tweeted, “I respect President Biden’s decision and look forward to working together during the remainder of his presidency.

As always, his choice is guided by what he believes is best for the American people.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also paid tribute to Biden’s long-standing service, tweeting, “President Biden is a great man whose actions are driven by his love for his country.

He’s a partner to Canadians and a true friend. Thank you, President Biden and the First Lady.”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz lauded Biden’s accomplishments and respected his decision to withdraw.

“My friend @POTUS Joe Biden has achieved a lot: for his country, for Europe, for the world,” Scholz posted on social media. “His decision not to run again deserves respect.”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog extended heartfelt thanks to Biden for his unwavering support for Israel over the years.

Herzog wrote, “I want to thank @POTUS Joe Biden for his friendship and steadfast support for the Israeli people throughout his decades-long career.”

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commended Biden for strengthening democracy and enhancing global safety. Tusk noted, “You’ve made many difficult decisions that have made Poland, America, and the world safer.

I know you were driven by the same motivations when announcing your final decision, likely the most difficult one in your life.”
