Nigerian music star Daniel Anidugbe, famously known as Kizz Daniel, has shocked fans with the announcement of a two-year hiatus from releasing new music.

The singer shared the news on his X handle, revealing that following the release of his much-anticipated EP, Uncle K, on November 29, 2024, he will not drop any new songs until 2026.

“After this, I no dey drop anything again until 2026,” he wrote, sparking mixed reactions from fans. While many expressed excitement for the EP, others lamented his impending absence from the music scene.

Amid the buzz surrounding his announcement, Kizz Daniel opened up about a personal loss, sharing that his wife recently lost her mother to breast cancer. He appealed to his fanbase, the Vaddicts, for prayers in her honor.

“My wife lost her mom to breast cancer, and I’m here mourning with her… Say a prayer for her mom, Vaddicts,” he wrote.

Fans are now looking forward to Uncle K, which promises to be a fitting farewell gift from the artist as he steps back from the spotlight to recharge and focus on personal matters.
